Lightning 6, Rangers 3
Brett Connolly scored his second goal of the game early in the third
period to break a tie as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the New York
Rangers 6-3.
Tyler Johnson also scored twice, including an insurance goal in the
third period, and defenseman Matt Carle added a goal for the
Lightning, who received three assists from defenseman Victor Hedman.
Ondrej Palat added an empty-net goal.
The Rangers got goals from Derick Brassard, Jesper Fast and Martin
St. Louis.

Blue Jackets 2, Panthers 1
The Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 thanks to
goals from Matt Calvert and Boone Jenner.
The win snapped a six-game losing streak (0-5-1) for the Blue
Jackets, who had lost 15 of their previous 17 games.
Jenner's game-winning goal was scored at 10:05 of the third period.
The Panthers' strike came from defenseman Aaron Ekblad.

Canadiens 4, Avalanche 3
Max Pacioretty scored a goal with 6:06 left, and the Montreal
Canadiens rallied to beat the Colorado Avalanche 4-3.
Defensemen Andrei Markov and P.K. Subban had a goal and an assist
each, and goaltender Carey Price made 26 saves for the Canadiens
(17-7-2).
Montreal left winger Jiri Sekac also scored.
Centers Daniel Briere and Ryan O'Reilly and defenseman Tyson Barrie
scored for the Avalanche (9-11-5).

Coyotes 5, Oilers 2
The Edmonton Oilers extended their season-long losing streak to an
embarrassing 10 games, dropping a 5-2 home-ice decision to the
slumping Arizona Coyotes.
The Coyotes had just one win in their previous six games but they
scored four goals in the second period, two of them shorthanded on
the same power play, to hand the Oilers their most crushing defeat
of the season.
The Oilers fell to 6-15-4 while Arizona is 10-12-3.

Ducks 3, Bruins 2
With a dash of persistence and a heavy pinch of penalty killing, the
Anaheim Ducks earned a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins.
Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen and center Devante Smith-Pelly each
scored before left winger Matt Beleskey scored the game-winning goal
for Anaheim (15-6-5).
Left wingers Brad Marchand and Simon Gagne tallied for Boston.
The Ducks extended their lead to 3-1 at 3:43 of the third period and
Boston (14-10-1) drew within a goal with 9:40 left to play but could
not find another goal.
