Announcement: Mount Pulaski Wind Farm Public hearing process to be tabled to Thursday, Dec. 11th

[December 04, 2014]  LINCOLN - A second public hearing conducted by the Logan County Zoning Board of Appeals scheduled for tonight, Thursday, Dec. 4 on the proposed construction of a wind farm in the Mount Pulaski area, is expected to open and close after tabling. The meeting is a continuation from November 20th when testimony and questions ran late.

The company requesting Conditional Use Permits, Relight, contacted the Logan County Zoning Office on Wednesday saying "that due to illness the applicant will not be able to attend the ZBA hearing tomorrow night and has requested the ZBA table the hearing until Thursday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the same location.

According Logan County zoning officer, Will D'Andrea, the ZBA will open the meeting on December 4th, announce that the applicant is unable to attend and that there has been a request to table the hearing. The ZBA will act on that request and table the hearing. There will be no testimony or input taken at the meeting.
 


The Public Hearing is to discuss a request from Meridien LLC to acquire a Conditional Use Permit for construction and operation of a Wind Farm South and West of Mount Pulaski. Included on the Wind Farm would be 81 wind turbines, collector lines, sub-stations, transmissions lines, access roads, meteorological towers, and related appurtenances.
