ATLANTA
— Judith Carpenter, 71, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, December
2, 2014, at her home in Lincoln with her loving children at her
side.

Visitation:
Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the
Atlanta Christian Church.
Service:
Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the church

Obituary
Judith Carpenter, 71, of Lincoln, passed away on
Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at her home in Lincoln
with her loving children at her side.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carpenter will be held on
Friday, December 5, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at the
Atlanta Christian Church. Father Gilbert L.
Gandenberger will officiate.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on
Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the
Atlanta Christian Church.
Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery.
Judith Ann Deavers was born on November 30, 1943, in
New York City, the daughter of George and Blanche
Foster Deavers. She married Harold Carpenter in
1990. He preceded her in death.
Judith is survived by her daughter, Kim (Larry
Begolka) Schmalshof of Lincoln and son, Troy Rexroat
of Lincoln; two grandchildren: Hannah and Keyton;
and two brothers: Terry (Martha) Deavers of Clinton,
Danny (Shawn) Deavers of Kenney. |
She was preceded in death by her parents and
husband.
Judith graduated from Beason High School in 1961 and
attended secretarial school at Illinois State
University. She retired from Eaton Corporation in
Lincoln after 25 years of employment. Judith was a
member of Lincoln Christian Church, American Legion
Auxiliary #263 and VFW Auxiliary.
Memorials may be made to Safe Haven Hospice, Home
Sweet Home Mission or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
