Tuesday the crew from Brad
Matthews Construction was out at the world's largest covered wagon
removing the canopy from the covered wagon for the winter.
The construction company is the firm hired by the Abraham Lincoln
Tourism Bureau of Logan County to repair the damaged wagon after a
storm last winter toppled it.
At a recent meeting of the Tourism Bureau, board members were
advised that Matthews was recommending removing the canopy to
protect it from the elements this winter, and was offering to
perform the task.
The canopy will be stored for the winter and brought out again next
spring when the weather warms up.
