Mount Pulaski Honeybears win 8th Grade Regional Championship

[December 06, 2014]  MOUNT PULASKI  —  It was a great comeback win for the Honeybears Friday night on their home court.  Mount Pulaski trailed Springfield 30-21 going into the fourth quarter.  The Honeybears were able to outscore Springfield Christian 15-5 in the fourth quarter and come away with the thrilling victory. 

Skylar Hayes scored 11 of her 16 points in that fourth quarter. Callie Anderson finished with 10 points and Madison Thomas had seven points, including a key three pointer.  Ainsley Chandler also contributed two points and Abigail Fitzpatrick had one free throw. 

The Honeybears are 22-1 on the season.

Mount Pulaski will play Morton Blessed Sacrament in sectional action at 6:30 pm Wednesday in Mount Pulaski.
