Last Saturday, several members of the Logan
County Salt Creek A.B.A.T.E. make a special trip to the Lincoln
Walmart. The group was purchasing toys that will be given out to
local children this holiday season.
With the back of a members pick-up filled with gifts, the group set
up in the Glass House in Lincoln and got everything wrapped up.
The club works with the Lincoln office of the Community Action
Partnership of Central Illinois. Community Action provides the club
with names and generic information about the children before they go
shopping. In doing so, the club can chose age and gender appropriate
gifts for everyone on their list.
