Obituary
Matt A. Whitson , 55, passed away on December 9,
2014.
Matt was born on October 5, 1959 in Tuscola; son of
Lynn and Jane Boyd Whitson. He married Lisa Carlin
on August 25, 1984 in Mt. Zion; she survives him in
Mount Pulaski.
Also surviving Matt are his children: Caleb (Leslie)
Whitson and Corey (Briana) Whitson both of Mount
Pulaski; his parents: Lynn and Jane Whitson of Mount
Pulaski; one brother: Mark (Leigh Ann) Whitson of
Arcola; one sister: Marla (Kenneth) Durst of Mount
Pulaski; one grandchild: Neil Matthew Whitson of
Mount Pulaski. Matt was preceded in death by one
brother Michael Whitson. |
Matt was baptized into the Latham Baptist Church. He
loved his family, enjoyed farming, kayaking, and
snowmobiling.
A private family graveside service will be held at
later date.
Memorials may be made to the Mount Pulaski Christian
Church. Services are entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski.
