Obituary
Dorothy M. Noble, 81, of Lincoln passed away
December 14, 2014 at St. Clara's Manor. Holland
Barry and Bennett Funeral Home has been entrusted
with her care.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17,
2014, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Holland Barry and
Bennett Funeral Home. The funeral service will take
place Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the
First Baptist Church, Lincoln. Burial will follow at
Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Dorothy was born January 14, 1933 in Lincoln. She
was the daughter of James and Ruby (Simpson)
Freeman. She married Charles T. Noble February 2,
1951 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death March 24,
1994.
She is survived by one son, Timothy L. "Duke" Noble
(Bev), and one daughter, Terri L. Jackson, both of
Lincoln, sisters Rev. Mary Ann Freeman of Marion, IN
and Phyllis Turley of Lincoln, grandson Jacob Noble
(Kate) of Evanston, granddaughter Kelli Wells
(Jeremy) of Elkart, step granddaughter Becca Tally
of Carterville, and great grandchildren Matthew and
Lucas Noble and Carson and Carleigh Wells. |
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, her brother Jim Freeman and one sister
Mildred "Mickey" Ewins.
Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Lincoln. She worked at the Lincoln Garment Factory
for 22 years, retiring in 1993. She had also worked
at Lincoln College as a line server in the cafeteria
and served as a foster grandmother.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist
Church of Lincoln and will be received at the church
or at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home.
