Gregory Lyle Rager, 58, of Lincoln passed away
Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Aperion Care in
Springfield. Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home
in Lincoln, IL. has been entrusted with his care.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will take
place 10 AM Friday, December 12, 2014 at Camp Butler
National Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorial services will be held Friday, December 12,
2014 at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Southern Baptist Church.
There will be a time of visitation from 6 p.m. until
the time of the service.
Gregory was born in Lincoln IL. on February 28,1956
to James Daniel and Margie Jean (Boyd) Rager.
Gregory proudly served his country in the United
States Marine Corp.

He is survived by his mother Margie Rager of
Lincoln. IL., son Michael DeWitt of Orange County,
CA., siblings Delores Kingsley (Lyndol) of
Lincoln,IL., Roger Steven Rager (Delores) of
Decatur, IL., David Eugene Rager (Kelly) of Orlando,
FL., Phillip Scott Rager (Maria) of Hurst, TX,
Deborah Jean Wooldridge (Terry) of Fort Worth, TX, a
sister-in-law Deane Rager of Niantic, IL, and his
granddaughter, Elizabeth DeWitt. He was preceded in
death by his father and brother Mark A. Rager.
Greg was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed
racing, gardening, and being outdoors.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer
Society or Raudebush VA Medical Center,
Indianapolis, IN and will be accepted at Holland
Barry and Bennett Funeral Home and also at the
church.
