LCHS Speech team finishes 7th at Normal

[December 17, 2014]  NORMAL - The LCHS speech team may have been small this weekend, but it still packed a punch. Only seven competitors traveled to Normal Community Saturday and still the team placed 7th out of 14 teams.

"We were small this weekend due to illness and other commitments," said head coach Jennifer Keith, "but they those who competed did an amazing job."

Juniors Braden Tanner and Zac McCray placed 2nd in Humorous Duet Acting and Tanner and freshman Justin Woods placed 2nd in Dramatic Duet Acting.

Sophomore Claire Conrady placed 5th in varsity Original Comedy and varsity Dramatic Interpretation and McCray placed 4th in varsity Radio Speaking.

Junior Lena Stapleton and freshman Zak Luken placed 4th in junior varsity Dramatic Duet Acting while Stapleton placed 4th in JV DI.

Sophomore Caleb White also placed 6th in JV Radio Speaking.
