Frazier, who scored a career-high 20 points in SMU's last game,
was 5-of-6 from the field in this one while also chipping in three
assists and two steals. Nic Moore added 16 points and Yanick Moreira
had 11 and eight rebounds for the Mustangs (7-3), who have won five
straight games.
Marc Brown scored 15 points to pace UIC (3-9). The Flames shot 26.6
percent from the field and made only seven of their 25 3-pointers in
addition to committing 13 turnovers.
SMU limited UIC to 6-of-32 shooting in the first half and did not
send the Flames to the foul line once en route to a 29-15 lead at
the break. SMU ended the half on a 10-3 run, starting with Moreira's
three-point play and ending with Frazier's three foul shots.
The Mustangs went nearly five minutes without a field goal early in
the second half, allowing the Flames to get as close as 34-30.
However, Frazier and Ryan Manuel combined to score 14 straight SMU
points as the lead ballooned back to 50-36 before UIC went more than
six minutes without a point to seal its fate.
