Jimmy Hayes scored two third-period goals and center Aleksander
Barkov got the only shootout marker as the Florida Panthers beat the
Pittsburgh Penguins.
Barkov scored in the seventh round of the shootout for the Panthers
(15-9-8).
The Penguins (22-6-5) had their three-game winning streak snapped
but still lead the East with 49 points.

Predators 5, Blue Jackets 1
The Nashville Predators scored quick-strike goals in the second and
third periods and let goaltender Pekka Rinne do the rest, easing to
a 5-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Rinne had 30 saves while Craig Smith scored two goals for Nashville
(22-8-2).

Capitals 2, Senators 1
The Capitals used second-period goals by fourth-line right wing Jay
Beagle and top-line center Nicklas Backstrom, along with 38 saves
from goaltender Braden Holtby to beat the Senators.
Washington (17-10-6) is in the midst of a 7-0-2 stretch and moved
past the New York Rangers and into third place in the Metropolitan
Division with 40 points, six behind the second-place New York
Islanders.

Ducks 3, Sharks 2 (OT)
Ryan Kesler scored the game-winning overtime goal and goaltender
Frederik Andersen made 30 saves as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the
San Jose Sharks.
The Ducks (23-8-5) extended their Pacific Division lead over San
Jose to eight points with the victory.
Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler knotted the game at 2-2 with his fourth
goal of the season at 15:44 of the third period.
San Jose (19-11-5) saw their five-game winning streak snapped.

Canucks 7, Coyotes 1
Alex Burrows broke out of a scoring slump by notching two goals, and
center Henrik Sedin added two assists as the Vancouver Canucks
defeated the Arizona Coyotes.
Vancouver (20-11-2) earned its second consecutive win after snapping
a five-game losing streak.
Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored on the power play for the
slumping Coyotes, who are 1-5-2 in their past eight games. Arizona
(11-18-4) sits second to last in the Western Conference.

Flames 4, Kings 3 (OT)
Defenseman Mark Giordano scored with 53 seconds remaining in
overtime, allowing the Calgary Flames to end an eight-game skid with
a stunning victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
Johnny Gaudreau recorded a hat-trick and forced overtime, scoring
twice in the final 2:12 of regulation for Calgary (18-15-3). Los
