Obituary
Ruth was born May
29, 1927 in Emden, the daughter of Daniel and Martha
Myer Coers.
She married Melvin
D. Aper July 3, 1949 in Emden. He survives in Emden.
Ruth is also
survived by one daughter, Gail Rein of Morton and
Grandchildren: Kittie Rein of Ormond Beach, FL, Gabe
and Grace Rein of Morton. She was preceded in
death by her parents and brothers, Frederick and
Walter Coers.
Ruth worked for
Deaconess Hospital, Dr. Donald Barringer’s office,
and was a bookkeeper for Fink Chevrolet for 37
years. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary
of Emden for 60 years and was an organist for 47
weddings and substitute organist at St. Peter
Lutheran Church. She was a lifetime member of St.
Peter Lutheran of Emden. |
Services for Ruth
will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at
St. Peter Lutheran Church of Emden with Rev. Frank
Pieper and Rev. John Schurter officiating. Burial
will follow in Hartsburg Union Cemetery. Visitation
will be Monday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Memorials may be given in Ruth’s name to Emden
American Legion Auxiliary or American Alzheimer
Association.
