Gladys Shelton, 89, of New Holland died at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Pulaski, at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014.

Gladys was born April 6, 1925 in Logan County, the daughter of Alex and Truly Martin Theobald. She married Zane Shelton Sr. April 24, 1948. He preceded her in death July 16, 1996.

Gladys is survived by two sons: Zane (Jan) Shelton of Lincoln; Mike (Linda) Shelton of Rochester; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Gene and Bob Theobald and one sister, Alice Henrichsmeyer.

Gladys worked with her husband farming, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Middletown Methodist Church.

Services for Gladys will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Paul Boatman officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in her name to Middletown Methodist Church or Vonderlieth Living Center.
