LINCOLN — Paul Huston "Beez" Rogers,
86, of Lincoln, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, 7:15 a.m. at
Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

LINCOLN-Paul Huston "Beez" Rogers, 86, of Lincoln
passed away at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014
at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Illinois.
Paul was born November 29, 1927 in Beason, IL the
son of Abshure Huston and Frances Wilson Rogers. He
married Margaret Bailey May 12, 1951 in Lincoln. She
survives in Lincoln.

Paul is also survived by his children: Jeffrey L.
(Elaine) Rogers of Springfield; Joy L. Rogers of
Lincoln; Jay R. (Debra) Rogers of Mt. Pulaski, Six
Grandchildren: Scott, Jessica, Brittany (Cole)
Sharp; Chelsea (Aaron) Altman; Joshua and Andrew
Rogers; one great grandchild: Henry Sharp; one
brother: Robert E. "Red" (Doris) Rogers of Lincoln;
three sisters: Helen Leesman of Lincoln; Shirley (Dareyl)
Brown of Armington; Frances K. (James) Boyd of
Broadwell. He was preceded by his parents; four
brothers and three sisters.
Paul worked in maintenance at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital for 27 years. He served in the
U.S. Army from 1951-1952. He was a member of First
Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the American
Legion Post #263.
Paul chose to be cremated. A visitation will be held
Friday, Feb 7, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery at a later date
with full military rites accorded by the American
Legion Post #263. Memorials may be given to American
Cancer Society or American Heart Association, or
American Diabetes Association.
