Richard Dean "Dick" Kennett, 81, of Beason, died Monday, Feb. 3,
2014, at his home.

Richard Dean "Dick" Kennett, 81, of Beason, passed
away February 3, 2014 at his home surrounded by his
loving family. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday,
February 10, 2014 at Camp Butler National Cemetery,
Riverton, IL. Dick was born July 20, 1932 in Sherman, IL., the son
of Jewels H. and Beulah Ethel (Stanton) Kennett. He
married Cathryn Alexander on April 4, 1962. She
survives in Beason, IL. |
He proudly served his country in the United States
Air Force.
Surviving are his wife Cathryn Kennett of Beason,
IL., his children: Mark Kavanaugh (Kari) of Decatur, IL., Michael Kavanaugh
(Laura) of Emden, IL., Greg Kavanaugh of Oklahoma City, OK., David Kavanaugh
also of Oklahoma City, OK., Richard Kennett Jr. of Hartsburg, IL., and Jill
Struebing (Brad) of Lincoln. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 16 great
grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother Donald Kennett,
and his sister Kathy Kennett.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the VA and will be accepted
at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.
