			 Cleveland Indians: 
		Brantley, Michael LF Michael Brantley and the Indians avoided arbitration in a big 
			way. He agreed to a four-year, $25 million contract that includes an 
			$11 million option for 2018, multiple media outlets reported Feb. 
			10.
 			When the sides exchanged figures in arbitration last month, Brantley 
			asked for a $3.8 million salary for 2014, and the team countered 
			with a $2.7 million offer.
 			Brantley, 26, set career highs last season with 10 homers, 73 RBIs 
			and 17 stolen bases. He batted .283 with a .332 on-base percentage 
			and a .396 slugging percentage, all better than his career hitting 
			line of .277/.320/.382. 			
			
			 
 			Washington Nationals: Clippard, Tyler
 			RHP Tyler Clippard and the Nationals avoided salary arbitration by 
			agreeing to a contract Feb. 10. While the team did not announce the 
			terms, multiple media outlets reported that the sides settled on a 
			one-year, $5,875,000 deal.
 			The 28-year-old reliever asked for $6.35 million and the Nationals 
			countered with a $4.45 million offer when the sides previously 
			exchanged arbitration figures.
 			Clippard, the Nationals' setup man, went 6-3 with a 2.41 ERA in 71 
			innings last year. He struck out 73 and walked 23. Clippard recorded 
			32 saves in 2012 but none in 2013.

			Miami Marlins: Roe, Chaz
 			RHP Chaz Roe, who refused the Rangers' outright assignment to the 
			minor leagues on Feb. 5, he signed a minor league contract with the 
			Marlins a day later. Miami invited him to its major league spring 
			camp. Roe, 27, went 1-0 with a 4.03 ERA in 21 major league 
			appearances for Arizona last season. The Rangers claimed him off 
			waivers from the Diamondbacks on Nov. 1.
 			Texas Rangers: Hanson, Tommy
 			RHP Tommy Hanson agreed to a minor league deal with the Rangers on 
			Feb. 10, and he received an invitation to the team's major league 
			spring camp. Hanson, 27, went 4-3 with a 5.42 ERA in 15 games (13 
			starts) for the Angels last year, and Los Angeles non-tendered him 
			in December. He is expected to challenge for a spot in Texas' 
			rotation.
