LC men's & women's cross country earn academic all-American honors

The Lincoln College men's and
women's cross country team earned all-academic honors from the NCJAA
for the 2013 fall season. The men's team was fourth in the nation
with a GPA of 3.70, and the women's team was 18th in the nation with
a GPA of 3.36.

NJCAA All-Academic honors for the men's team went to Corey Allen,
Joel Flores, Mike Garza, Austin Teel and Chris Steward. Receiving
NJCAA All-Academic honors for the women's team were Kalina Gordley,
Akiya Thompson, Kaiyla Brooks, Lizzi Herzog and Tina Demogerontas.
"I am very proud of our men's and women's teams," head coach
Brian Herron said. "They work very hard on the practice fields and
in the classroom. I know that they are very excited about being
academic all-Americans and they should be. They are a great group of
young men and women that I know have bright futures ahead of them."
