On Monday, St. Clara's Manor hosted a special celebration in honor of its centenarian residents.

This year there were four special guests and a fifth lovely lady who was not able to attend.

The celebration included a rich potato soup, chicken salad on a croissant, chips and a beverage. Afterward, white cake with strawberry filling was served.

After the meal, each lady was given the gift of a rhinestone brooch and a small bag of candy. While they enjoyed their dessert, St. Clara's activity director read them interesting facts about the year they were born.

Activity assistant Rebecca Johnson also read them a poem on growing old.
