Tom and Ruth Anne Sparks

[February 19, 2014]  On Sunday, Tom and Ruth Anne Sparks will celebrate 50 years of marriage with family and friends at the Lincoln Park District center, 1400 Primm Road.

The couple invites all family and friends to join them in the celebration. The open house will begin at 1 p.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. A luncheon will be served.

The couple is requesting no gifts please. Just coming to be a part of their milestone celebration is more than gift enough.

On Feb. 15, 1964, Tom Sparks married Ruth Anne Bree at the First Methodist Church in San Jose. Standing up with them at their wedding were best man Bill Sparks and maid of honor Diane Rauch Jockisch. The Rev. Arthur Webb officiated.

Tom worked 33 years for Lehn & Fink, and for eight years he was with Petroleum Transport. He retired in 2004. Ruth Anne was with Illico Inc. for 25 years and retired in 2007.
