[February 19, 2014]  (The Sports Xchange) — Recently retired tight end Tony Gonzalez will join "The NFL Today" pregame show beginning in 2014. CBS also announced it has parted ways with Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe.

The new cast of the show will be James Brown, Bill Cowher, Boomer Esiason and Gonzalez.

"Having just stepped off the playing field, Tony brings a fresh and insightful perspective," CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus said in a statement Tuesday.

Gonzalez left the NFL as the career leader in touchdowns (111) and yards (15,127) by a tight end. Gonzalez also holds the NFL's record for consecutive starts (120) and Pro Bowl appearances (14) by a tight end, and is second overall among all players in receptions with 1,325.

St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday that Sam Bradford, who is recovering from last year's torn ACL, will be the starting quarterback even with a scheduled $17.6 million salary cap figure in 2014.

Fisher did not rule out a new contract for Bradford, who is heading into the fifth year of a sixth-year contract. There has been speculation that the Rams, who hold two first-round picks in May's draft, could either cut Bradford or redo his contract.

Bradford was off to the best start of his career last season before suffering a torn ACL against the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 20. He completed more than 60 percent of his passes with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions in seven games.

The report says White, whose full name is Sharod Lamar White, was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail just before 4:30 a.m. He was released about 90 minutes later on $168 bond, according to jail records.

Wide receiver Eric Decker said he would entertain discussions of a return with the Denver Broncos, but more than likely he will test the free agent market by doing what is best for his family.

Decker hinted he may be willing to take less money for the right situation. He could receive a lucrative contract once the new league year begins next month. Decker, who turns 27 in March, set career highs with 87 catches for 1,288 yards in 2013. He also had 11 touchdown receptions.

Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall agreed on a new four-year contract, media outlets reported Tuesday.

According to NFL.com, the contract is worth about $5 million per season.

Hall, 30, led the Redskins with four interceptions and three defensive touchdowns in 2013. Before the 2013 season, the Redskins released Hall in order to save the $8 million salary cap hit and then re-signed him on a one-year, $1.25 million contract.

The Indianapolis Colts made two roster moves on Tuesday, releasing running back Tashard Choice and waiving defensive end Jake McDonough.

A day after signing free-agent offensive lineman Gabe Carimi, the Atlanta Falcons released offensive lineman Garrett Reynolds.

Reynolds, who signed a two-year, $2.587 million contract in 2013, started a career-high 10 games for the Falcons last season and played in 15 games. The move will open up more than $1.3 million in cap space for the Falcons next season.
