As the temperatures warmed up
today, it seemed that some of us, including Mother Nature, are
developing a sense of humor about the massive piles of snow and the
generous coating of ice from Monday.
Here are some shots we've
received today.
Pictures by various photographers |
The iceman cometh! Do you see the man
in this massive icicle? LDN's Karen Hargis said she was tipped
off that she needed to take a picture of this fella standing at the
end of one of the passenger cars at the old Depot Restaurant. Maybe he is a ghost conductor.

Everything goes better with Coke? Even
snow? Vic Martinek grabbed this shot and sent it to us Tuesday
morning. The handiwork is that of Pastor Mark Thompson and
family. What's most impressive is the accuracy of the colors,
especially for the cola! |

Lee Schall submitted this photo from the
lake house near Broadwell. It seems that snow cylinders were
spotted in several areas of Logan County. Lee also had
snowballs, though! We wonder if Mother Nature is getting ready to
pick a fight! |
After the freezing rain came another coating
of snow Monday. The result was a lovely "flocking" on
trees that only Mother Nature could spread so evenly.

Desperate times call for desperate measures! With the food on the ground covered with snow and ice, this little
guy tries acrobatics to get to the birdseed hanging in the tree. |
Mother Nature makes her own crystal
chandeliers.
