Logan County businesses and
organizations are invited to bring their health-related offerings to
the Community Health Fair, scheduled for March 29 from 9 a.m. to 1
p.m. at the Lincoln Park District, 1400 Primm Road. The health fair
is sponsored by the Lincoln Park District and the Logan County
Department of Public Health.

This year's theme, "5 2 1 0 —
Be a Healthy Hero," is highlighting an easy-to-remember program to
keep healthy: five fruits and vegetables each day; no more than two
hours of recreational screen time each day; at least one hour of
activity daily; and no sugar-sweetened beverages. "We already have
several exhibitors lined up for the event, but we want to open the
opportunity up to the public," said Marcia Greenslate, administrator
at the Lincoln Park District. "A booth at the health fair is a great
opportunity to make your services known and help our local effort to
encourage healthy choices. We especially encourage exhibits that can
promote one of the '5 2 1 0' messages."
This year, the event will also feature a 65-foot inflatable
obstacle course, sponsored by Healthy Communities Partnership, and
other family-friendly activities.
