On Sunday, February 9 at 3:00 P.M.,
the congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1409
Pulaski St., Lincoln will welcome their new Pastor,
Candida Johnson. Central/Southern Illinois Synod of
the ELCA Bishop S. John Roth will preside at the
Service of Installation. A reception will be held
following the service to honor Pastor Turner.
Pastor Turner comes to Lincoln from Warren, MI, a
Detroit suburb. Pastor Turner graduated from Trinity
Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH. She had
previously attended Ecumenical Theological Seminary
in Detroit. Pastor Turner has previously served as
Associate Pastor at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church
in Bloomfield Hills, MI and currently has been
serving at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Warren, MI
as a stated supply pastor.
