Today's weird weather picture. So what is so weird about a guy out kayaking in February? A lot of times it has been plenty warm enough for someone to get out on the creek, river or lake in a boat. But this year, Matt Whitson is kayaking in his farm field! Whitson, who has farm ground between Mount Pulaski and Niantic, got the kayak as a Christmas gift, and Sunday he decided it would be a perfect way to go out and check his fields, because they are under water from rain and melting snow. The bad news is that more snow may be headed our way and colder temperatures. As the end of February is quickly approaching, the question becomes, will March come in like a lion or a lamb? Right now the odds seem to be in favor of lion.
