LINCOLN — Donald Lolling, 80, of
Lincoln, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 8:13 a.m. at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.

Lincoln- Donald L. Lolling, 80, passed away at 8:13
A.M. on January 4, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center
in Springfield, IL.
Donald was born on June 4, 1933 in Hartsburg, son of
Gratus and Marie Swart Lolling. He was united in
marriage to Patricia Cochran on October 9, 1953 in
Lincoln. She survives him in Lincoln. Other
survivors include his children: Theresa (Randall)
Helton of Lincoln; Cynthia (Michael) Mattson of
Lincoln; Alen Lolling of Bloomington, IL, his
brother Robert (Jean) Lolling of Lincoln, seven
grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one
great great grandson, many nieces and nephews, and
his buddy Queenie. He was preceded in death by his
parents, his brother Walter; two sisters: Minnie
Buss Bates, Gretchen Knowles, and one infant sister.

Donald worked at Eaton, formerly Cutler and Hammer
and was a caretaker of the Lincoln Fairgrounds. He
retired from the Illinois Department of
Transportation.
Donald wishes were to be cremated. A memorial
service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday
January 11, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln
with Rev. Mark Peters conducting the service. A
gathering of friends and family will be held from
10:00 A.M. till time of service. Burial will follow
at Hartsburg Union cemetery in Hartsburg. In lieu of
flowers memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran
Church or to the Cystic Fibrosis Fund. Services were
entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
