Warming trend to bring snow, freezing rain, then rain

The
Lincoln office of the National Weather Service released the
following weather outlook at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday for the
central Illinois counties of Cass, DeWitt, Fulton, Knox, Logan,
Marshall, Mason, McLean, Menard, Morgan, Peoria, Sangamon, Schuyler,
Scott, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford:

Wednesday and Wednesday night There will be a chance for a
period of light snow later Wednesday morning into the afternoon
hours as a weak weather disturbance moves across the area. At this
time it appears any accumulations will be less than an inch.
Thursday through Tuesday
A couple of storm systems will move into the region over the next
several days. The first weather disturbance will bring the threat
for light snow accumulations on Thursday. In addition, there is a
chance of light freezing rain or freezing drizzle Thursday afternoon
and again early Friday morning before the wintry precipitation
changes over to all rain Friday afternoon.
