LINCOLN — Marjorie Eloise Liesman, 89,
of Lincoln, formerly of Middletown, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at
11:32 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

LINCOLN-Marjorie Eloise Liesman, 89, of Lincoln,
formerly of Middletown, IL died at 11:32 p.m.
January 12, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital, Lincoln.
Marjorie was born October 22, 1924 at Easton, IL the
daughter of Frank and Clara Harfst Onken. She
married Alvin Grover Liesman January 17, 1946 in New
Holland, IL. He preceded her in death.
Marjorie is survived by children: Linda (Bruce)
Fitzgerald of Washington, IL; Ken (Holly) Liesman of
Greenview, IL; Gail (Karen) Liesman of Atlanta; Jane
(Jon) Diers of Lincoln; Polly (Larry) Wise of
Williamsville, IL; and Joe (Syb) Liesman of
Hartsburg, IL; sixteen grandchildren and 23 great
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
son: Rollan; Two grandsons: Ryan Liesman and Brandon
Fitzgerald.
Marjorie was a homemaker and member of Zion Lutheran
Church and the Ladies Concordia of New Holland. She
was a member of Middletown Legion Auxiliary.
Services for Marjorie will be Wednesday, January 15,
2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in New
Holland with Rev. Charles Olander officiating.
Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery. Visitation
will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to
the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
given to Zion Lutheran Church of New Holland or
American Cancer Society the Springfield Branch.
Arrangements were entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
