The seventh-grade Panthers jumped out to a 17-0 first-quarter
lead and never looked back, defeating the visitors 43-9. Dean
Harris scored 13 points and had five steals; Will Ewald had 11
points; Thomas Morris scored six points and had four rebounds;
Jace McIntosh and Xavier Miller each scored five; and Nick Toft
added three. This concludes the regular season for the
seventh-grade team, and they are off until the postseason
tournament starts.
The CEL eighth-grade team improved to 16-0 by defeating the
Knights 57-25. Sam Birnbaum scored 21 points and had three
rebounds; Josh Vinson had 13 points; Jordan Jacobs added 10
points; Isaiah Bowers scored seven points and had five rebounds;
Nick Toft scored four points; and Xavier Miller rounded out the
scoring with two points. The next game for the eighth-grade
Panthers is Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Lincoln College as part of
the Logan County tournament.
