Lincoln Junior High volleyball results

[January 15, 2014]  ATHENS — Monday night the Lincoln Junior High volleyball team played against the Warriors of Athens.

The LJHS eighth-graders came away with a victory in two games, 25-13 and 25-16. They now have a record of 1-1.

Statistical leaders for the eighth-grade match:

• Grace Bossingham: 6 kills

• Emma Cline: 8 service points, 5 aces

• Lexi Clark: 12 assists, 4 aces, 9 service points

• Kerstin Osborne: 3 kills, 3 digs

The LJHS seventh-graders lost in two games, 18-25 and 6-25. They now have a record of 1-1.

Statistical leaders for the seventh-grade match:

• Kate Maupin: 3 service points, 1 ace

• Jenifer Porlas: 4 service points, 1 ace, 1 kill

The sixth-graders played in their first match and won the first game and lost the second and third games.

The Lady Trojans play at home on Tuesday against Maroa-Forsyth and again Thursday night against West Lincoln-Broadwell.
