[January 20, 2014]  The Lincoln Christian University men's basketball team (6-9) faced the Tigers of Grace Bible College at home in the Laughlin Center on Saturday. The Red Lions fell behind and then surged back four times, but they could never overcome the Tigers. In the end they fell 82-69.

Falling behind quickly in the first few minutes at 7-0, the Red Lions chased the Tigers for the entire game. On four occasions LCU fell behind by a margin of 13 points or more and surged back to within six. Lincoln went into the locker room behind 47-33 at halftime.

LCU came out fired up in the second half and took the game to Grace, outscoring them 36-35, but it wasn't enough of a margin to take the game. After a fantastic effort, the Red Lions fell 82-69.

LCU senior guard Brian Dyal (Rockford/Berean Christian High) led the Red Lions in scoring with 14 points, and sophomore guard Anthony Rush, (Peoria/Illinois Central College) contributed 11 points.

The Red Lions travel to Chicago on Tuesday to meet Moody Bible Institute in a dual matchup along with the women's team.
