Family Lego Day assembles piles of smiles

[January 20, 2014]  The fifth annual Family Lego Day at the Lincoln Public Library on Saturday was full of smiles all around. The Annex was filled with families and piles of Legos just waiting to be assembled into wonderful shapes.

The ever-popular event drew 12 families and about 30 participants in all.

For those families who did not have their own supply of Legos, the library had several sets available, thanks to a donation by Joshua MacMurdo. He is a lieutenant commander in the Navy and is the son of Louella Moreland, youth services librarian.

This Family Lego day is the final library event for Ms. Lou, as she will be retiring in two weeks. Ms. Lou came up with the idea for Family Lego Day.

Check out the smiles of all the participants! It was fun!
