Students will find improved
classrooms at Lincoln Christian University this fall thanks to the
generosity of Robert J. Woods and Joan Jarrett Woods through the
Woods Foundation. A total of $50,000 in gifts will help revamp
Dowling Auditorium in Restoration Hall and several classrooms in the
Charles A. Mills Administration Building. The result will provide an
enhanced instructional experience for students meeting in those
facilities.

The renovation project will include replacements and upgrades to
furniture, painting, and carpeting. Once completed, these
improvements will assist LCU in attracting and retaining students.
Total costs for renovations will be approximately $103,000. An
estate gift to LCU in 2013 will be used to cover the remaining costs
of the project.
Prior Woods Foundation gifts have been used for library
renovations, improvements to the Earl C Hargrove Chapel and other
critical LCU needs. Last year LCU received a $40,000 matching grant
for a new minibus to carry athletic teams and students to off-campus
games and events.
