To "Give a Little Love," customers can donate $1 or more at
participating McDonald's restaurants, beginning Jan. 23 through Feb.
16. Customers who make a donation will have their names displayed on
a paper heart in the restaurant. All of the proceeds will benefit
families staying in the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield. In
2013, over $200,000 was raised during the "Give a Little Love"
promotion.
The Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for families
with sick children who are receiving treatment at one of
Springfield's medical facilities. Ronald McDonald House Charities of
Central Illinois provides the families with everything they need
during this difficult time. The 12-bedroom facility at 610 N.
Seventh St. opened its doors in February of 1986 and serves
approximately 400 families each year.
"The 'Give a Little Love' promotion is a wonderful way for local
McDonald's restaurants to support a worthy cause," said Steve
Jeffers, McDonald's restaurant owner-operator and president of the
Central Illinois Co-Op. "I appreciate all of the hard work and
dedication from our customers and crew members in helping to make
this fundraiser a success each year."
