Materials management plays a critical role at ALMH. As a team, the
department checks and restocks the supplies throughout the hospital.
They check in new shipments so that everything is cataloged into
inventory, from pens to medical equipment. They also oversee
incoming and outgoing mail. DeWilde is specifically responsible for
ordering supplies for the surgery, SPA and anesthesia departments.
She was nominated anonymously by a co-worker who said: "Arlene
always has a smile on her face. No matter how busy she may be, she
always takes a moment to say hello. She is also willing to help. She
is a pleasure to deal with. She is a true example of a great
employee."
DeWilde said she loves working at ALMH "because of the caring
people who work here. She added: "Employees care not only for the
patients who come here but also for each other. I can’t imagine
working anywhere else. We are all blessed to have ALMH."
