Wolverines advance to sectionals

[January 31, 2014]  DELAVAN — The fourth-seeded West Lincoln-Broadwell seventh-grade team (10-10) continued playing spoiler Thursday night, knocking off the third-seeded Knights of Normal Calvary in the Delavan Regional championship game.

WLB got 23 points from Kaden Froebe in the 41-33 victory. Also scoring for the Wolverines were Blain Robbins with seven points, Kameron Whiteman with six, Payton Batley and Dreyden Pozsgai with two each, and Shane Shumard with one.

The Wolverines advance to the Hartsburg-Emden Sectional championship, to be played Wednesday, with a 6 p.m. tip versus the Morton Blessed Sacrament Tars.
