Stag-R-Inn to host 3rd Annual ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease Awareness 5K

[July 11, 2014]  EMDEN - The 3rd Annual ALS 5K to raise awareness of ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 at the Stag-R-Inn, Emden, IL.

Registration is $25.00 and all walkers and runners will get a T-shirt, post race fruit and water, a free drink ticket you can use at the Stag-R-Inn, and a post-race meal.  The meal includes freshly roasted whole hog.  In addition to raising money through the registration fees, there will be a 50/50 drawing and silent auction.

Pre-registration will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday August 22 at the Stag -R and from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. the day of the race. The race will begin at 9:00 am.

Following the race, you can continue to hang out at the Stag-R and enjoy drinks, food, bags tournament, and DJ. 

This event is in honor of Alan Lessen, Donna Naffziger, Michelle Conrady-Brown and Evelyn Minoff and all who have succumbed to this disease.
