Mrs. Schumacher called the meeting to order at 10:00 am.
Old Business
Continuity of Operations Plans: Mrs. Schumacher talked to
Mrs. Cook from Tazewell County about their COOP Plan. Mrs. Cook will
send Mrs. Schumacher a copy of their plan.
Fire Drill: The Courthouse and John Logan building had a fire
drill on May 7, 2014. Both buildings met at the Safety Complex.
Everyone did a wonderful job. Mr. Reeves and Mr. Nichols plan to sit
down and go over the idea of rekeying the Courthouse. Committee
discussed the idea of having an active shooter and severe weather
exercise in the near future.
CIRMA: CIRMA recently recommended a site visit to perform a
risk assessment for Logan County. Since Sally just recently did this
in the past and we are in the process of completing her
recommendations, Mrs. Schumacher did not feel this was needed.

New Business
AED’s: Mrs. Schumacher will talk to Jean Anderson at John
Logan building to make sure both sides are able to use the AED
machine. Mr. Aukamp does not see a need for Highway Department
to have one.
A motion was made by Mr. O’Neill, seconded by Mr. Reeves, to
adjourn the meeting. Motion passed. Meeting ended at 11:00am.
Next Safety meeting will be June 2, 2014 at 10a.m.
