[July 22, 2014]
Heartland Community College, the
Accelerated Training for Illinois (ATIM) program, and the
Lincoln/Logan County Development Partnership announce a special
manufacturing skills training program for qualifying individuals in
Logan County and throughout Central Illinois.
|
The program selects individuals to receive “paid for” specialized
training based on the needs of local employers. This training is in
response to the growing “skills gap” identified by area
manufacturers. The training program focuses on industry recognized
skill training as well as on-the-job training designed to produce
employees who are ready for work on day one.
Informational sessions for this special training program will be
held from July 30 through August 7 on the following specific dates:
- July 30 & August 7, 1:30 pm at Illinois workNet Center, 1300 S Ninth St,
Springfield.
- July 31, 11:00 a.m. at the Heartland Community College Downtown Center
620 Broadway, Lincoln.
- August 5, 10 a.m. at the Workforce Development Center, Heartland
Community College, 1500 Raab Rd, Normal.
- August 6, 1 p.m. Illinois Central College-South Campus, Room 202 225
Hanna Dr., Pekin.
- August 7, 10:30 a.m. at the Clinton Campus Building Richland Community
College, 140 Sunrise Court, Clinton.
Training is anticipated to begin September 2.
