On Tuesday of this week, several folks in Mount Pulaski surprised Wally Kautz at the Mount Pulaski Courthouse with a surprise birthday party. It was Kautz's 80th birthday. Kautz has been a beloved mainstay at the courthouse for the past 20 years and has a lot of stories to tell about his experiences as the historic site's most dedicated guide.
