[July 28, 2014]  LINCOLN — Patricia Ann “Pat” Sutton, 66, of Beason, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln with her loving family by her side.

Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Patricia Ann “Pat” Sutton, 66, of Beason, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln with her loving family by her side.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home with Perry Snearly officiating. Burial will follow in Keyes Cemetery, Beason.

Pat was born June 19, 1948 in Truman, AR., the daughter of James Vernon Snearly and Geneva Murlene (Conaster) Snearly. She married Lyndall Sutton on March 6, 1965 in Pekin.

She was a member of the Lincoln Church of Christ. Pat cared for children in her home for many years. She had a love for children and caring for them brought her much joy. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, gardening, and cooking.

 

Surviving are her husband Lyndall Sutton of Beason, her son James Howard Sutton, significant other, Rachel Askew of Humboldt, four grandchildren: Courtney Lauren Sutton, Kandis Arlene-Mignon Sutton, Noura Leah Sutton, and Evan William Christian Sutton; sister Lynn (Ron) Oltmanns of Bloomington, brother Perry (Jeanine) Snearly of Decatur; and brother David (Rita) Snearly of Macon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Darren Sutton, her brothers Russell Snearly and Mike Snearly and her sister Rhonda Snearly Peters.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
