Chamber to host volunteer recruitment party Saturday

[July 29, 2014]  LINCOLN - RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST 9TH - This Saturday, July 26^th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lincoln Walmart Store, organizers of the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival are hosting a party to celebrate and recruit volunteers for Logan County’s largest event.

This event is free for the community in hopes to enlist more people to help execute this event that draws so many people to our community each year.  The July 26^th celebration will include free food, donated by Christian Homes, activities for children and the opportunity for people to sign up  to give their time and talents on August 22, 23, & 24. Every person the signs up to volunteer during the festival weekend will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a hot air balloon ride during the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival. A rain date for the Festival Volunteer kick-off party at Walmart will be August 9^th.

This event on July 26^th is NOT replacing the tradition volunteer party/informational meeting the week of the festival.
