[July 30, 2014]  LATHAM - Daniel Mack Keaster, 66, passed away at 9:07 a.m. on July 24, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.

Visitation: Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home

Service: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, at Fricke Calvert Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.

Obituary

Dan was born on June 23, 1948 in Malden, MO; son of Eldon Green and Stella Marie Hicks Keaster. Dan married Betty Sparks on December 3, 1994 in Maroa, she survives him in Latham.

Also surviving are his children: Penny (William) MacMillan of Pine Grove, PA; Kylene (Kenneth) Mearida of Dewitt; Amy (Thomas) McLaughlin of Decatur; step children: David (Mariah) Allison of Nevada; Gary (Lisa) Maki of San Antonio, TX; Brian Maki of Marquette, MI;  Robert Harper of Maroa; Siblings: Garry (Lana) Keaster of Austin, TX; Judy (Dave) Deshazo of Oregon, IL; Kevin (Roy Garcia) Keaster of Machesney Park; Stan (Cathey) Keaster of Rockford, and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Stephen Keaster, and one infant sister: Charlotte Keaster.

Dan loved wood working. He built his own house from the ground up. He also loved all technology and even built his own computer. He also enjoyed gardening.

Services for Dan will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday July 27, 2014 at Fricke Calvert Schrader Funeral Home in Mt Pulaski. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial and Lake Bank Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Hospital ICU Ward in Decatur.
