Obituary
Robert L. Anderson, 80, of Lincoln, IL passed away
at his home at 2:30 a.m. June 12, 2014 with family
by his side.
Robert was born August 3, 1933 in Lincoln the son of
Orville and Julia Shalla Anderson. He married Mary
Watson in 1951 and she preceded him in death. He
married Doris Munsch Boling July 2001. She survives
in Lincoln.
Bob is survived by three sons: Mike (Jean) Anderson
of Lincoln; Mark (Karla) Anderson of Streator, IL;
Marty (Pam) Anderson of Jupiter, FL; Step children:
Elizabeth Grigg of Lincoln; Kathy (Mike) Buck of
Lincoln; Christy Boling of Springfield; Siblings:
Ronald (Nancy) Anderson; Kenneth (Jo) Anderson;
Joyce Board; and Carol (David) Young, all of
Lincoln; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren;
one great grandchild; and one step great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife
Mary; Brothers: Larry, Garry, and Bugs. |
Bob worked as a factory worker at Stetson China Co,
Pittsburg Plate Glass Co. and for the State of
Illinois as a truck driver. He was a member of the
Model T Ford Club of America; He rebuilt and
restored Model T’s; and as a young man, he raced
stockcars.
Graveside services for Robert will be held at 11:00
a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Zion Cemetery with
Rev. Jan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Zion
Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. John’s
Hospice. Services were entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
