The Lincoln Area Music Society
kicked off its season of summer concerts in the park Sunday evening.
The band made up of volunteer musicians, assembled in the bandstand
at Latham Park and treated guests to a variety of selections.
In spite of threats of rain, several came out for the first musical
offering of the season.
Once again the Woman’s Club is holding ice cream socials at the
corner of McLean Street and Latham Place this year. The group offers
up a wide variety of homemade cakes accompanied with ice cream. The
money raised from the socials goes to support their community
projects.
If you missed the concert this week, you have three more
opportunities. Concerts will be held on June 22, 29 and July 6.
