			20, 2014, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.  |

							Funeral Home in Lincoln and one hour prior to the 
							service Wednesday at the church.

							Obituary 
							 
							Warren Delano Rogers, 75, of Elkhart, passed away on 
							Friday, June 20, 2014, at Vonderlieth Living Center 
							in Mount Pulaski. 
							 
							Warren was born on April 20, 1939, in West 
							Frankfort, son of Harry Delano and Geneva Pearl 
							Bowman Rogers. He was united in marriage to Suzann 
							Tesmer on December 19, 1970 in Lincoln. She survives 
							him in Elkhart. He is also survived by his 
							daughters: Susan J. (Reggie) Lyons of Odin; 
							Christina “Tina” Smith of Lincoln; Carrie L. (Matt) 
							Fights of Elkhart; grandchildren: Benjamin, 
							Christopher, and Katie Lyons of Odin; Faith J. and 
							Jaxson W. Smith of Lincoln; great grandchild Braedon 
							Lyons; “adopted” daughter, Marilyn Renner of Chicago 
							and “adopted” grandson, Cole Eimer of Springfield. 
							He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and 
							granddaughter, Hope Fights. 
							Warren retired from the Illinois State Police, and 
							he owned/operated a construction company since 1986. 
							Warren was an active member of the Elkhart Christian 
							Church. He attended Lincoln Christian University, he 
							received a President Life Saving Award in 1975 
							through the American Red Cross, and he was a Courier 
							Citizen of the Month in 1982. Warren also served as 
							an Elkhart Fire Chief for 11 years and as a Logan 
							County Deputy Coroner.

							Cremation rites will be performed. A memorial 
							service will be held in his honor at 11:00 a.m. on 
							Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Elkhart Christian 
							Church. A visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. 
							on Tuesday, June 24, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Lincoln and an hour prior to the 
							service on Wednesday at Elkhart Christian Church. 
							Memorials may be made to the Elkhart Christian 
							Church Building Fund, or to Lincoln Christian 
							University.
