Illini Follow the Script

[February 28, 2014]  The Illinois Fighting Illini followed the script posted by the LDN over two games ago in a 60-49 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers late Wednesday night in Champaign-Urbana. The Illini were on a relentless pursuit of rebounds as they won that battle 34-28 including hustling to garner 11 offensive rebounds!

Freshmen Kendrick Nunn who had 13 points and 3 assists and Malcolm Hill who tallied 10 points and 5 rebounds, led the way for Illinois. Rayvonte Rice was also huge in this contest bringing home 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 big steals. With the win, Illinois climbed out of last place in the league.

Next up for the Illini is a tough battle at Michigan State Saturday at 1:00pm.
