At the Monday night meeting of the Lincoln City Council, aldermen gave Mayor Keith Snyder the authority to wrap up the details for the city to purchase the Lincoln Depot  property. The property is being purchased by the city with reimbursement coming from the Illinois Department of Transportation. This is one step in the completion of the Alton-to-Chicago high-speed rail project.
