			MOUNT PULASKI — Raymond August Yagow, 
			92, passed away at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 
			Vonderlieth Living Center. (Below is a copy of 
							the obituary from the funeral home.) ___ 
							Mt. Pulaski- Raymond August Yagow, 92, passed away 
							at 7 p.m.. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 
							Vonderlieth Living Center.
 Raymond was born in Logan County on March 29, 1921, 
							son of John Henry and Lydia Maria Elizabeth Bandelow 
							Yagow. He was united in marriage to Edna Alma Lydia 
							Stuemke on April 5, 1942 in Altamont, IL. She 
							preceded him in death on March 1, 2012. He is 
							survived by his children: Kay (Jim) Jacobson of The 
							Villages, FL; Gene (Froggie) Yagow of Roanoke, VA; 
							Gloria (Butch) Morrow of Mt. Pulaski; daughter in 
							law: Donna Yagow of Urbana; grandchildren: Kim 
							(Kurt); Chad (Staci); Katie (Scott); Sam (Pam); C.T.; 
							Patrick; and great grandchildren: Timothy, Abigail, 
							Logan, and Devven. He was preceded in death by his 
							parents; son Danny Yagow; and grandson Nathan 
							Morrow.

							Raymond was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in 
							Mt. Pulaski. He served his country in the U.S. Army 
							Air Corp. as a sergeant during WWII as an aircraft 
							mechanic with overseas bases in New Guinea and 
							Australia. He was a retired Farmer.
 Services for Raymond will be held at 2 p.m. on 
							Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in 
							Mt. Pulaski with Rev. Christopher Decker 
							officiating. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior 
							to the service at the church.
 
							Burial will be at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery in Mt. 
							Pulaski with full military rites accorded by the Mt. 
							Pulaski American Legion Post #447.  
							Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran School 
							Playground Fund. 
							Arrangements were entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
