St.
Peter Lutheran in Emden to host used prom/party dress sale this
weekend
EMDEN — On Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., shoppers and
sellers will have a great opportunity to earn cash from their past
prom and party dresses or get a great bargain on something that will
be "new to you."
A fitting area will be available for trying on the dresses before
purchase.
St. Peter Lutheran Church, 120 Market St. in Emden, will serve as
the clearinghouse for the sale, charging only a small fee per dress
to have them on display. The balance of the cash earned by the sale
of a dress will go to the seller.
Dresses may be brought to the church between 9 and 10:30 a.m.
Saturday.
For the buyer, the terms are cash only; no checks will be
accepted.
For the seller, any dresses not sold must be picked up at the
church no later than 2:30 p.m. Because the church does not have
storage for the dresses, anything remaining after 2:30 p.m. will be
donated to another group.
For more information about the sale, call 217-737-2742.
